About Us
Reanimations’ Staff is 90% bilingual in English – Spanish. The company understands the problem of stigma surrounding mental illness, and its services are focused on overcoming these barriers and providing people suffering from mental illness with the best opportunity for effective treatment. If you suffer from emotional struggles for multiple reasons, you are the most important person on the Reanimations’ staff, because we all work for you. Our mission is to reduce the demand for illegal drugs, social violence, and enhance access to mental health Services with affordable and effective services, by using scientific research and the support/collaboration, partnership, and coordinated effort with community stakeholders
Scope of the problem:
“It is important to note that four decades of developing drugs resulted in more than 20 antipsychotics and more than 30 antidepressants that did not demonstrably reduce the morbidity or mortality of mental disorders. While there may be many explanations for the public health needs associated with mental illness, there is no doubt that we need additional research and development to provide preventive interventions and cures that will reduce morbidity and mortality. Current medications play an important role in the intervention toolbox, but they have not proven to be sufficient alone or in combination with other treatments. The question is how to develop the next generation of interventions. Neither patients nor payers know how to judge what a therapist offers. There are at least two key obstacles along the way; First, there are many things that are not understood about the causes of mental illness and how they should be treated; and second, even with things that have been studied and understood, research is rarely put into practice”
[Dr. Thomas R. Insel. Director of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), 2015]
As noted by Dr. Thomas R. Insel, former director of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), the challenges surrounding mental health treatment remain a critical priority, despite the passage of time. At Reanimations, we recognize that these challenges are not static; they require an evolving, patient-centered response that stands the test of time.
Reanimations Recovery Model
We employ a comprehensive, person-centered approach that extends beyond standard symptom management. Our philosophy emphasizes adaptability, resilience, and the restoration of self-esteem. We recognize that while mental health challenges require rigorous clinical intervention, true recovery encompasses the whole person. By integrating psychological care with functional, real-world skill-building, we aim to provide a pathway to sustainable long-term wellness.
Traditional mental health agencies often operate within limited clinical footprints, focusing primarily on medication management and office-based counseling. While this conventional model serves a specific function, we have found that it often faces inherent constraints when addressing the complex, multidimensional needs of our patient population.
To maximize accessibility and therapeutic efficacy, Reanimations utilizes a multidisciplinary clinical model. This model integrates essential physical and vocational therapeutic activities, which necessitates a facility infrastructure that exceeds the spatial capacity of standard outpatient suites. Our inclusion of gymnasiums, athletic fields, and expanded activity spaces is a clinical necessity driven by our commitment to comprehensive, holistic care.
Our decision to invest in appropriate facilities—or to lease facilities of adequate scale—constitutes a deliberate clinical strategy. This infrastructure is designed to facilitate superior patient outcomes while ensuring full compliance with the Federal Anti-Kickback Statute, pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1320a-7b(b), and is supported by a legitimate clinical and commercial need.
